1973年高知県生まれ。1999年多摩美術大学大学院美術研究科絵画専攻修了。絵画から離れ、在学中より作品と作品が置かれる場所との関係性を求めた構築物を発表。以降、美術のための空間を飛び越え、重要文化財、使われなくなった学校、銭湯、倉庫などと共に、場所から新たな場所を出現させる作品を発表し続けている。近年では、中之条ビエンナーレ、所沢ビエンナーレなどに出展し、此岸と彼岸を揺れ動く事物そのものに肉薄する「作庭の根源」を試みる。洞窟現代では、発起人としてディレクションも務める。
Born in Kochi Pref. in 1973. MA in Painting, Art Research Department, Graduate Program of Tama Art University in 1999. He has presented structures seeking the relationship between art works and which sites to place them since Graduate School. From then on he kept creating art works which represented new places coming from sites without sticking to specific exhibition sites for art like using important cultural properties, an abolished school, a public bath house, and warehouses. Recently he participated at Nakanojyo Biennale and Tokorozawa Biennale and exhibited art works to shape "the root of landscaping" swaying amongst this life and eternity which closely exist. He is also working as a director of Cave Contemporary.
