1977年英国ロンドン市生まれ。英国レディング大学美術学部を卒業後、エディンバラ・カレッジ・オブ・アートにてポストグラデュエートディプロマを取得。現在、東京藝術大学大学院に研究生として在籍中。ストッカーのつくり出す作品は、建築と彫刻、彫刻と家具、家具と場所といった、様々な造形性の境界に視覚言語をもつ。そして、仮設された構築物としての場所作品は、展示が終わる度に燃やされ、一連のプロセスを私たちの消費社会に突きつける。近年では、日本文化にインスパイアされ、自然と人工を溶解し、より一層、「無名性に結びついた造形言語」を構築化している。
Born in London, UK in 1977. BA in Art, University of Reading, UK. Postgraduate Diploma in Edinburgh College of Art. Research Student in Graduate School of Fine Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts (Currently). His works feature visual language at boundaries between architecture and sculpture, furniture and sites. Temporary site works are burned after exhibition, confronting consumer society. Recently inspired by Japanese culture, integrating nature and artificiality into "plastic language connected to anonymity."
