1968年神奈川県生まれ。1998年英国ロンドン大学ゴールドスミス・カレッジ大学院修了。初期から現在まで、継続して体感型の作品を発表。鑑賞者にとって、仁木の作品は、死者ではなく、生者のための「棺桶」として機能する。美術作品として鑑賞されることと、棺桶として体感されることの相反する価値を同居させ、私たちに芸術の基準を投げかける。死を隣人として従えるような、身体感覚に新たなリアリティを出現させるその装置は、勇気を持って棺桶の中で体感した者のみの共通語として、対話が生まれるように設計されている。
Born in Kanagawa Pref. in 1968. MA in Goldsmiths, University of London. He has presented sensory art works continuously since his initial stages. To the audience, his works function as "coffins" for living people, not for the dead. Contradictory meanings of being appreciated as art works and experienced as coffins coexist in his works then we are faced with his question about the standard of art. His works are like devices to produce a new reality to the bodies' feelings; i.e. perceiving death laying as neighbors are designed to bear a common language just among people who are brave enough to experience it.
